Shortly before the start of 2018, I deleted my Facebook account.
I won't go into the reason why but I will say I learned some interesting things when I deleted it.
Facebook is a trap. Not only is it addictive, it is also a private club. If you are not a "Member" of Facebook, you can't visit anyone or any group that has a Facebook "account." That's the bad news. The good news is no one can visit you. No more sharing.
How did we ever survive with out sharing?
Well there was sending photos via email to family and friends. There was also seeing each other in person. In person! How strange was that??
You know, I never was one for private clubs. I guess the mistake I made was thinking Facebook was kind of like this blog.where I can say anything, share anything and do so without forcing anyone to be part of the "community."
So, I know say to Facebook to go jump in the lake like some people recently did in Long Lake, NY, on Dec. 30, 2017.
