Tax the Rich
Not really. They, like everyone else, is already being taxed.
But those Democrats, Liberals and Progressives who are always yelling the rich should pay more seem to be avoiding the obvious solution.
Why not ask the millionaire news reporters, senators, member of congress, actors, singers, musicians, football, basketball and baseball players to stop seeking ways to legally reduce their taxes and pony up, put their money where their mouths are and donate most of their money to the IRS, thus reducing taxes for the "little people" they claim to care deeply about.

Why I Prefer Belief.
This may sound a bit strange but I believe there are a lot of reasons to favor believing over knowing.
Believing in its truest and most basic form is admitting you don't know. It's more humble to say you believe than to say you know.
Believing is mostly about feeling. Believing is warm. Knowing is cold.
Sometimes people will say they know something when they should be saying they believe something.
Believing implies risk. You could be wrong. But when you say you know when in fact you don't know, the risk is greater. Claiming to know, then learning you were wrong can be devastating in ways believing seldom is. Believing then learning you were wrong hurts but is not as devastating because your heart was in the right place.
No one knows whether or not there truly is a God. Believing or not believing are the only two choices. A positive belief will always trump a negative belief and the only thing worse than a negative belief is claiming to know what you don't know.
Believe in love. Believe in life. Believe in yourself and the people you love. Believe you are loved.

Global warming primer
Call it Global Warming. Call it Climate Change. Call it whatever you want to call it but don't be fooled by the those advocating something must be done to stop it and save the world from a climate disaster.
Al Gore, the Pope and Bill McKibben will wag their fingers and flap their mouths to warn you of the dangers and tell you it is all your fault. But it isn't.
They are correct about one thing while being wrong about just about everything else they say.
They are correct when they say humans are the primary cause of Global Warming/Climate Change. They are wrong when they try to convince you that you can solve the problem by "going green" and by supporting their push to stop mining coal, drilling for oil and natural gas, and trading in your car for a bicycle.
None of those things will accomplish anything so long as the human population continues to grow.
More and more humans create the demand for more and more energy and that demand far outstrips the energy that can be supplied by wind turbines and solar panels. Perhaps even more important is the fact that more and more humans destroy planet Earth for all animal and plant life.
Adding more and more humans to the planet is like adding more and more people to a sinking ship while claiming to save everyone by simply bailing water with tea cup from the sinking ship.
Solar panels and wind mills are the tea cups that will not save planet earth.
The only solution is to stop and then reverse the number of humans on the planet.

Black lives matter
Black do lives matter but the questions is - matter to whom?
Apparently, black lives don't matter to many blacks who are busy shooting each other, dealing drugs to each other, getting black women pregnant and then walking away and failing to support the women and the children they father.
Just saying "Black Lives Matter" and marching with signs that say the same thing will not accomplish anything except to make those who do the chanting and the marching feel good about themselves.

The problem with the Euro zone
The problem with the Euro zone is its attempt to be USA Lite. It's as though the Europeans think they can become sort of like the USA by having a common currency and making it easy to go from one country to another, thus treating countries as though they were states in the USA. But they leave out a key ingredient to what makes the USA the USA - namely a common language. Other key ingredients include a common culture and a common history.
Now in fairness to the Europeans, I should point out there are citizens of the USA that would like to model the USA after the mess Europe has become. They want weak borders. They don't want a common language or common culture. They are working diligently to divide the people of the USA into competing communities (black, gay, hispanic, muslim, etc.) - get rid of the "melting pot" concept and create something they call a tossed salad.
The talk as though one religion is no better nor worse than any other religion because they really don't like any religion. Sorry Muslims, they don't like you. They just say they support you because they want to downgrade Christians. Given time, they will come after you. But then the Jihadists already know this.
I can't read the future but I do have some concerns. I wonder if the USA will be recognizable or even exist a hundred years from now. I doubt we will dare call ourselves Number One a hundred years from now. That title will probably go to China and or maybe even Russia. Why do I see a future from them and not the USA? Because neither country has any interest in multiculturalism. They insist on being Chinese or Russians, and have no interest in accommodating those who would destroy them.

The Enemy of the Melting Pot
Without going into great detail, the enemy of the Melting Pot is Multiculturalism.
The United States was never meant to be multicultural.

In the eighteenth and nineteenth century, the metaphor of a “crucible” or “(s)melting pot” was used to describe the fusion of different nationalities, ethnicities and cultures. It was used together with concepts of America as an ideal republic and a “city upon a hill” or new promised land. It was a metaphor for the idealized process of immigration and colonization by which different nationalities, cultures and “races” (a term that could encompass nationality, ethnicity and race) were to blend into a new, virtuous community, and it was connected to utopian visions of the emergence of an American “new man”. Multiculturalism is the acceptance of multiple ethnic cultures, for practical reasons and/or for the sake of diversity and applied to the demographic make-up of a specific place, usually at the organizational level, e.g. schools, businesses, neighborhoods, cities or nations. In this context, multiculturalists advocate extending equitable status to distinct ethnic and religious groups without promoting any specific ethnic, religious, and/or cultural community values as central.
The Problem
The way I see it, although I am of German ancestry, I am an American. If we want to play the ancestry game to its insane extreme, we are all Africans. Cultural Heritage? I guess my German Cultural Heritage mean I should drink only beer, eat only hot dogs, hamburgers and sauerkraut, and wear Lederhosen. Maybe I should become a Nazi, just for good measure!
But all that would be insane. I might like beer, hot dogs, hamburgers and sauerkraut but I also like foods attributed to the Irish, Italian, Polish, Chinese, etc., and I have no intention of becoming a stupid Nazi.
Culture! The only culture I know, or thought I knew, is American - which is a hodgepodge of just about every culture you can think of.
What the melting pot does is make us one. What multiculturalism does is divide us into thought ghettos.
If you look at it from a politicians point of view, multiculturalism is a convenient way to divide and conquer. Any politician or social engineer who promotes multiculturalism wants to stick you in a little hole where it is easy to control you. They don't see you as an individual person. They see you as a pea in a pod they want to cook.

Read the Koran
If you haven't read the Koran, you should give it a try. Try because you will probably give up long before you finish reading it.
The Koran is not a great read. It is very repetitive. It does not tell a story as is done in the Old and New Testaments. Basically, it beats you over the head with how great and merciful God (Allah) is - provided you submit to Islam.
Over and over, again and again, shots are taken at Christians and Jews.
The joke is that the Koran recognizes Jewish prophets and also recognizes Jesus as a prophet.
But then the law is laid down as this example shows: "Unbelievers are those that say: 'God is the Messiah, the son of Mary.'"
Such writings in the Koran are not isolated.
You want war?
In the Koran it is written - "Believers, why is it that when you are told; March in the cause of God, you linger slothfully in the land." - and - "If you do not go to war, He will punish you sternly and replace you with other men."
I'm not making this stuff up. To read the Koran is to know Islam is not a religion of peace and love. Don't be snookered by the liberals into thinking there isn't any difference between Islam and Christianity, into thinking there isn't any difference between Western and Islamic civilizations.
Islam is not compatible with any religion other than Islam and Muslims even fight among themselves - between the Sunni and Shia.

People need to grow up
If you are an American, stop looking to the government, state or federal, for anything. If you are not a citizen, you don't have a right to anything.
Stop the begging and the whining.
There are only a couple of rights anyone has. You have the right to live until you die. You have the right to try as long as you are alive. You can dream all you want but you don't have any right to see any of your dreams come true.
You can believe whatever you want to believe but you need to understand that believing doesn't make it true.
If you are old enough to have children and you do have children, the least you can hope for your children is for them to grow up and not be dependent upon you. Since this is the least you can hope for your children, shouldn't the same apply to you?
Growing up means not looking for anyone to take care of you. Grow up!

The evil AARP
The AARP is a ripoff. It is nothing more than a way for the people who work there to make money. To make money, it created the idea that once you turn 50, you are a Senior Citizen and now have the privilege to join the AARP.
I have been throwing away their offers to join the AARP (send them money), ever since I approached 50.
Because of the AARP, many people think they are senior citizens when they are not all that old. It creates the idea that simply by turning 50, you have a right to special treatment.
There are only citizens. There are only people. No one is special and no one should receive special treatment or favors simply because they have been alive for 50 years or more.
I would be embarrassed and ashamed to receive any special treatment simply because I have been alive on this planet for over 74 years.

SNL Sucks
Saturday Night Live sucks and has sucked for most of its 200 years on TV.
Disclaimer - I can't remember the last time I watched SNL. All of what I have seen in recent months has been forced on me when watching so called news programs.
Speaking of news programs, they suck too.
Enough is enough. I don't care about 99% of what the news media seems to think I should care about. I don't care about the GLBT community or any other community for that matter. I don't care about Muslims. I don't care about Mexicans or anyone else who wants to sneak into this country. I don't care about Democrats and I don't care about Republicans. I wish they would all go away and I wish the approximately 22% of Native Americans still stuck on reservations would leave the reservations and stop bothering people.
Everyone wants something from you and it is way beyond boring.
Maybe I'm wrong but I think there was a time when hardly anyone talked about politics and you were pretty much left alone to think what you wanted without someone trying to get you to agree with them. Now it seems everyone wants you to pick a side, like life is some never ending stupid sporting event.
Who cares? Why care? If we all would just take care of our own and stop bothering others, we all might feel more inclined to treat each other as fellow human beings. And this should be the case when it comes to other countries. I don't care about other countries. If people in other countries don't like their leaders, it should be up to them to change things. The USA should stay out of the problems in other countries.
It's a sad state of affairs when news outlets insist on telling what went viral on the Internet and I'm left wondering why I'm supposed to care. Nothing is funny anymore.
I know what would help get us all into a better mood. Let's bring back public executions. Let's start by executing all the politicians and lawyers, followed by executing anyone in Hollywood who thinks we should care what they think. They'r nothing more than adults play acting.

We don't have a country.
The United States of America might no longer exist.
First, the USA is not united. It is divided.
We have a Senate and a Congress that talk a lot and love to pontificate but don't do anything to protect or advance the lives of Americans. Many seem more concerned about foreigners inside and outside of the country. They seem to worry more about other countries than they care about this country.
We have judges who consider themselves above the Senate, the Congress and the President. They put on a black rob and act as though they are gods.
We have the media who act as though they were elected to decide on all issues.
We have entertainers who think their opinions should rule as though they were elected.
We may have reached a point in our history where the only solution is to scrap the whole thing and start all over again.
Maybe we need a new American Revolution. Maybe we need a dictator.
We need something because what we now have is a mess that is an insult to all who fought and died creating and defending this country.

Judges are not presidents
The USA is facing a constitutional crises. We have judges who are trying to usurp the power of the president.
The President is the Commander in Chief and has the duty of protecting the country.
The situation is similar to the one faced by Henry VIII who battled with the Pope over who was the ultimate ruler of England.
The elected President of the United State is the ultimate authority when it comes to safeguarding the lives of American citizens, not appointed judges.

Liberals are just like conservatives in that they pick and choose what they want to be liberal about.
How many liberals are in favor of legalizing all controlled substances and making all drugs legal and available over the counter without a prescription?
How many liberals are in favor of legalizing prostitution?
How many liberals are in favor of dropping special taxation of tobacco products?
This is just a short list that points out how liberals are not very liberal.
Do white liberals like blacks? Do black liberals like whites? They will say they do but not so much in practice.

Ban all immigrants
If you care about the environment, you should be in favor of banning all immigrants from all countries. Period!
More people, regardless of race, creed, color or national origin cause more pollution and the destruction of the environment. More people means less open space, less farm land, fewer forests. More and more people will eventually destroy the Earth.
Let other nations and countries of the world accept migrants from wherever for whatever reason. But save the United States from the hordes who will destroy it even if that is not their intention.

Blood

Mary
and Ana, Mary’s creation and lover, need to decide if they want to rebuild
their gentlemen’s club destroyed in a fire or drop all associations with humans
in an effort to stop surveillance by the FBI and CIA who regard them as persons
of interest in the torching of their club and a competitors club.
They
also need to decide on the fate of a Schenectady City Councilwoman who is the
only human who knows they are vampires, a woman who wants to be part of their
love triangle and hopes to help them secure humans for the blood they need.
The
story follows them from Schenectady to a castle in Romania to a castle in the
Adirondacks and all points near and in between.
Blood
will flow. A professor will become an unwitting terrorist. The innocent and the
guilty will die before Mary and Ana are satisfied.

My problem with Obama
First, let me admit I voted for Obama twice.
But if he had run against Trump, I would have voted for Trump, which in a way I did when Trump ran against Clinton.
I don't think Obama was a bad president so much as he was a disappointing president. He was too much of a lawyer and not enough of a leader. He could be emotional but usually his emotions came across as weak. He was also too darn preachy, as is often the case with liberals.
But my main problem with Obama was his failure to admit a deep truth about himself. He was not the first Black President. He was the first Black and White President.
Maybe that fault is as much the fault of all whites and many blacks who automatically call someone of mixed race black. How prejudice is that?
Think about it. Most people in the USA are of mixed race and or nationality. There is very little of pure anything. Some people manage to be proud of the diversity that led to them being born. Italians marry Germans. Germans marry Polish and the mix goes on and on. But somehow when it comes to blacks and whites, the white gets lost and you either accept or claim to be black, dismissing the white in you. This is a tragedy that Obama could have corrected. Sadly, he didn't. I hope he just bought into it and didn't do it because he figured he had a better chance at becoming the first black president than if he had tried to become the first black and white president.
I doubt we will ever know what the truth was, is.
