Motorcycle
crash in Long Lake
On
August 4, 2021, at approximately 4:06 p.m., State Police responded to a report
of a motorcycle crash on State Route 30, in the town of Long Lake, near South
Pond. An investigation revealed that a motorcycle operated by 58-year-old
Steven J. Lacrosse of Canandaigua, was traveling north on State Route 30, when
his motorcycle ran off the east shoulder while negotiating a curve in the road.
The motorcycle struck guidewires and Lacrosse was ejected. He was pronounced
deceased at the scene by Hamilton County Coroner Carl Turner. His body was
removed to St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY where an autopsy will be
conducted on August 5, 2021.
