Knife
attack thwarted
LONG
LAKE--On October 7, 2021 at approximately 11:40 a.m. State Police responded to
Clarks Way in the town of Long Lake, for a report of a dispute. 20-year-old
Alexander V. Damasevitz of Newcomb displayed a knife and threatened to harm the
victim with it. This occurred in the presence of a 15-year-old child.
Damasevitz
was arrested and charged with Intimidating a Victim or Witness 3rd degree,
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, Menacing 2nd degree, and
Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Damasevitz was arraigned in the Long Lake
Town Court where he was released on his own recognizance. An order of
protection was issued.
