RAY BROOK--The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook on Thursday, September 12 and Friday September 13.
On Thursday at 9:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.
At 9:30 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider approval for a two-lot subdivision in the Town of Lake Pleasant, Hamilton County.  The project applicant Wilt Industries is seeking to subdivide an existing industrial use into a 32.3 acre lot accessed from New York State Route 8 and create a 4.4 acre vacant building lot with access from Longview Drive.
The committee will also consider a material amendment to Agency Permit 2017-0070, which authorized timber harvesting on a 450±-acre project site in the Town of Westport, Essex County.  Lyme Timber Company requests an expansion of the timber harvest to include an adjacent 97 acres of mixed use silvicultural treatments.
The committee meeting will conclude with a review of the public comments submitted for the proposed General Permit/Order 2019G-1 related to the replacement of certain utility poles. 
At 11:15 a.m., the Local Government Services Committee will consider authorizing proposed amendments put forward by the Town of Chester for their Agency Approved Local Land Use Plan.
At 1:00 p.m., the Public Awareness and Communication Committee will hear an informational presentation from Mr. Paul Casson, Operations Manager at SUNY Albany’s Atmospheric Sciences Research Center. The Center is located on Whiteface Mountain in the Town of Wilmington, Essex County. Casson will brief the Board on the Research Center’s mission and ongoing work.
At 1:45 p.m., the Agency meeting will adjourn for the day.  Board Members will visit the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center to learn more about the facility.  The site visit will also include a tour with Olympic Regional Development Authority staff of the renovated Whiteface Mountain elevator.  Members of the public who attend the Public Awareness and Communication Committee meeting are invited to attend.  Please RSVP to Susan Streiff by phone (518) 891-4050 or email: susan.streiff@apa.ny.gov by Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
On Friday, September 13th at 9:00 a.m., the State Land Committee will convene to determine Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan conformance for the proposed Management Guidance: Siting, Construction and Maintenance of Primitive Tent Sites in Wilderness, Canoe, and Wild Forest Areas on Forest Preserve Lands in the Adirondack Park.
The committee will hear a presentation from Department of Environmental Conservation staff on the final Sentinel Range Wilderness Unit Management Plan. The Board will consider authorizing a public comment period regarding the Plan’s conformance to the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan. The Sentinel Range Wilderness Area is in the northeast portion of the Adirondack Park in the towns of Jay, Keene, North Elba, and Wilmington in Essex County.
At 11:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions and hear member and Local Government Review Board comment.
