Arietta works on budget

PISECO—The Arietta Town Board held a special meeting on Oct. 29.
The purpose was Supervisor Rick Wilt wanted to talk about the Adirondack Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce.
Councilperson Christy Wilt talked to the Chamber and they are asking for a $500 increase from the Town and they said it is a cost of doing business. Christy Wilt said she checked what the Chamber had done this year for the Town of Arietta and after discussion the board decided not to increase the budget the $500 for this year.
The board reviewed the general and highway budgets and made changes as follows:
GENERAL FUNDS: Town Board Contractual Expense A1010.4 from $1,500 to $750. Fiscal Agent Fees A1380.4 from $2,500 to $2,000. Engineers Contractual Expense A1440.4 from $20,000 to $5,000 Engineers Contractual Expense A1440.41 from $43,132 to $5,000. Superintendent of Highways Personal Services A5010.1 from $55,000 to $46,079. Airport Equipment A5670.2 from $27,650 to $7,650. Joint Recreation Contractual Expenses A7145.1 from $20,000 to $0.00. Joint Recreation Contractual Expenses A7145.4 from $5,000 to $0.00.
Museum Contractual Expense A7450.4 from $1,000 up to $3,000. This will be done at the regular meeting November 4, 2019 by resolution.
Planning Book Update A8020.41 from $3,000 to $2,500. Spillway Contractual Expense A8745.4 from $60,000 to $20,000.
GENERAL FUND ESTIMATED REVENUES: Departmental Income: Airport – Tie Down A1776.32 from $500 to $0.00.
Use of Money and Property: Rental Real Property A2410 from $403 up to $5,600. This will be done at the regular meeting November 4, 2019 by resolution.
HIGHWAY FUNDS: There were no changes made on the highway budget from the Preliminary budget.
Christy Wilt reported that someone would like to use the school building to teach martial arts exercise classes. Rick Wilt said that is up to the school board.
